About
Pocket Offline started as a shared chat between four friends who kept recommending each other games to kill time on long train rides. At some point the list got too big for a chat, so we turned it into a site. Everything here is written after we actually install a game and play it, usually for several evenings.,We focus on one thing: games that keep working when you lose connection. Underground metro, a flight, a cabin in the mountains — that's where a good offline game earns its place. If a title secretly needs a server to do anything, it doesn't make the catalog.,Games get picked in a simple way. Someone on the team finds something interesting, installs it, and if it survives the first hour we all try it. Only then does it get a review. We don't chase trends or press releases; sometimes the best find is a two-year-old puzzle nobody talks about anymore.,The reviews are honest and a little opinionated. We tell you when controls feel clumsy or when a game runs out of ideas halfway through. That's the whole point of a small independent site — we have no reason to pretend.
